In March of 2003, I toured Japan. During that time, many miraculous events unfolded, but I wanted to share with you one aspect of the tour. Over the month, I did nine concerts in different cities on the main island, Honshu. At each concert I placed purified water in the circle of quartz crystal bowls in the center of the room. The concerts were entitled “Peace Journey” because that was the theme of the music (and the title of my 9th CD release). The intention of the music is to help create a field of inner-peace, a very real healing force we can each send out into the world right now, when it is most needed. At the end of the concerts, we would do a collective “om” sound and intention prayer for about 10 minutes, playing the bowls, holding our hands up sending healing energy into the water. Finally, we would all drink the water (passing around cups of water taken from the center). Remaining water would go into a nearby ocean, river, lake, sewer system, etc. for healing that area and spreading it to the rest of the world.

Earth is 80% water, as our bodies are as well. I am grateful to live on Kaua’i, the wettest spot on Earth.

For years now I have been following the work of Dr. Masaru Emoto, a Japanese scientist who has been studying the effects of different kind of energies on the molecular structure of water. Visit his website at www.hado.net or look in a search engine under “Message From Water” for amazing photographs demonstrating how sound, intention, pollution, and prayer affects the molecular structure of water.

When I was touring, I invited Emoto to the Tokyo Museum concerts, and perhaps take samples of the water. He was out of the country but said he wanted to go. Instead, he sent someone from his lab, who took samples and used a standardized water sample as well. Just recently, I received pictures of the water samples from the concert. Emoto did an interpretation of them. One sample, as you can see, had a heart in the middle of the crystal. He said crystal structures usually have a hexagonal shape in the middle. I liked this reflection of the love in the room, and of my sound therapy work called Heartherapy.

Emoto will visit Kaua’i next February to do a lecture and healing water ceremony. Projected date is Valentine’s Day, 2004.
